How Soy Candles Are Made?
Let’s be honest. You've probably spent more time this week answering emails that could have been Slack messages than you have enjoying anything remotely therapeutic. So what if we told you there is a way to melt stress. Literally!
Welcome to the world of soy candles, where corporate chaos meets calm, one waxy pour at a time.
🕯 Step-by-Step: How Soy Candles Are Actually Made
No, it is not witchcraft. But it is pretty magical. Here is how soy candles come to life:
1. Melt the Wax (Just Like You at Quarter-End)
We start with 100% natural soy wax, none of that paraffin nonsense. It is melted slowly in a big 10 kg wax melter, gently warming up like you after your third coffee.
🌡️ Ideal melting temp? Around 80°C (is hot but not “laptop on your thighs” hot).
2. Wick It Good
Our wooden wicks are secured in the centre of the container, standing tall, unlike your posture during month-end reporting.
We use cotton or wood wicks. Why? Because we don’t need lead in our lives. (Looking at you, toxic management!)
3. Add Fragrance (Optional, But Highly Encouraged)
Once the wax cools slightly (around 70°C), it is time to add scent. And we are not talking “grandma’s potpourri.”
We are talking hand-picked, high-end, “wow-is-that-jasmine?” fragrance oils.
This is when your candle finds its voice and it says things like:
“Light me when your inbox hits 999+”
“Light me before your 9 AM Teams call”
“Smells like a meeting you skipped”
4. Pour with Intention (and Maybe a Bit of Passive-Aggression)
The wax is poured slowly into the container. Think: calm and controlled, nothing like your team’s Monday meeting.
No spills, no stress. Just good vibes and aromatherapy in action.
5. Let It Cure (Like Your Vacation Days Should Be)
The candle needs 1–2 weeks to fully cure, meaning it sits in a quiet corner becoming more fabulous by the day. You can burn it sooner, but it is not living its best life until it is fully settled (same as you, post-Slack detox).
